R1500 for Short Fictional Entrepreneurship Stories for Teens | Deadline 15 December 2022
We are looking for short fictional stories that teach teens about entrepreneurship. Please keep reading for a clear brief.
Selected stories will receive a minimum of R1500 each. We are looking for up to 7 stories. The minimum word count per story is 3000 words.
The quality of the story is considered over and above the word count.
Selected stories will go into a story compilation.
The call is open to teens and adults. Writers under 18 years of age will need their parents or legal guardians to submit the entry on their behalf.
The stories should feature these elements:
- One of the characters starting a business.
- With a focus on product development, marketing, distribution, funding and the handling of finances.
- Elements of starting with little capital, motivation, creativity and dealing with challenges.
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho is a good reference for the kind of stories we are looking for.
Download my free book ‘How to Start a Business Simple & Easy.’ It will give you a better direction of the pointers the stories should feature.
